PSYCHOTHERAPY
Psychotherapy is a talking therapy, like counselling but it entails a deeper analysis of your psychology, so we dive a little deeper into understanding why you think, feel and act in the way you do.
A lot of people attend psychotherapy as they feel stuck in some area of their life. I can help you understand the reasons as to why. Connecting the dots and understanding the root cause is a powerful strategy to move you forward.
Feeling stuck and experiencing negative thoughts are linked to negative emotions - diving a little deeper into your psychology to discover what has been holding you back is key.
Consider this; you did not have thoughts when you were born, so thinking is largely learned and I can help you to understand these patterns. When you illuminate these patterns, the changes you wish to make become easier.
To make sense of your experience of the world, is to heal at a deep level, which naturally induces a healthier experience of life. True confidence is a trust in self that comes about through knowledge of self - when we become aware of previously unconscious patterns, we become autonomous in our choice to choose differently.
I can help you get back on track by tailoring sessions to your needs. In the first session, I will take a detailed history and gain a clear understanding of the issues, then we will formulate a healing/personal development plan together.

LIFE COACHING
life coaching is an effective, solution focused modality, particularly useful for specific outcomes and goal setting. It diagnoses unhelpful patterns and identifies 'roadblocks' in your life by bringing them into your conscious awareness, which indicates which strategies to implement for personal development and change.
I will share the following story with permission from the person whilst maintaining anonymity.
A few years back, a man who was happy in a most areas of his life presented with high levels of anxiety when delivering presentations and this was holding him back from seeking progression within his career - Using exploratory tools, he recalled that his father became aggressive towards him when he was about 8 years of age. If he said the 'wrong thing' he was punished, so he unconsciously made a decision to say as little as possible. He realised that in his career, he perceived some males as authority figure and he was still anxious about saying the 'wrong thing'. Once he became aware of this and the decision to say as little as possible no longer made sense, he was able to work through to have a richer career, family and social life.
True confidence is to trust in yourself, a trust that comes about through knowledge of the self. Knowing and understanding oneself results in a deep healing - becoming aware of previously unconscious, limiting patterns presents the opportunity of choice to do it differently.
As a Life Coach, I assess your satisfaction with all areas of your life and then we identify the areas that needs improvement and what is blocking you in achieving your potential in all areas.
An action plan is implement to facilitate change, using strategies and techniques.
Life coaches have been popularly consulted by elite athletes and other high performance individuals for many decade. More and more people from all backgrounds are accessing life coaching to make progress in many areas of their life.

HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnotherapy is a highly effective tool in removing unwanted habits. Think of a habit as something we do outside of our full conscious, awareness repetitively. Productive habits are useful such as an 'itch' to go to the gym, however, habits such as overeating or smoking cause harm and illness over time.
Anything we do repetitively that is not an instinctual reaction, has been learned, so therefore it can be unlearned.
During Hypnotherapy, you will be guided into a deeply relaxed, yet focused state of mind and during this state, the brain waves slow down significantly. In this relaxed state, you will receive hypnotic suggestions, which will vastly increase your receptivity to change. The change happens rapidly and effortlessly.
Whilst in this deeply relaxed state of awareness, you remain fully in control and able to engage in the therapeutic process. You won't act against your moral values or do anything that you wouldn't do in a waking state. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, with your active participation being key to its effectiveness. This is a powerful approach for personal transformation. Various techniques may be used such as visualisation, positive affirmations or regression to address specific issues or goals, all of which would be discussed and agreed upon beforehand.
Many people have quit smoking, however this can be a challenging task - the individual needs to overcome the craving, the nicotine withdrawal, the actual habit of holding and inhaling the cigarette and also, identify the emotional issues that drives the habit. This is a doable task, but it is much easier with the help of hypnotherapy.
Imagine your brain to be a very sophisticated three dimensional map - anything you do more than once has a place on that map, even something as simple as making a cup of coffee. Now imagine it is an unwanted habit such as overeating. During hypnotherapy, I will guide you into a relaxed state, using language patterns to help your brain map, 'reroute' the unwanted habit and install a new positive habit in it's place.
